ROOSTERMC IS BACK — AND A LOT HAS CHANGED

August 20, 2026

If you haven’t visited RoosterMC in a while, now is the time to come back.

We’ve spent a huge amount of time behind the scenes rebuilding, updating, optimizing, and modernizing the server for the current generation of Minecraft—while continuing to support players on both Java and Bedrock Edition.

This wasn’t just a version bump.

RoosterMC has been getting rebuilt from the inside out.

⚙️ Updated. Rebuilt. Optimized.

A huge portion of RoosterMC’s custom systems have been reviewed and modernized for our current Paper server.

We’ve been hunting down old code, eliminating performance problems, updating custom plugins, improving cross-platform compatibility, and polishing the systems that make RoosterMC different from a normal survival server.

The goal is simple:

Better performance. Better gameplay. More adventures. Less nonsense.

🔥 HELL HAS COME ALIVE

Our Hell world received one of its biggest upgrades yet.

Hell is no longer simply a harder survival world.

The world itself is now trying to kill you.

🔥 Corruption visibly consumes the landscape
🌋 Magma, fire and lava fissures can emerge
🌧️ Infernal Rain forces players to find shelter
👹 Powerful Infernal Champions roam the world
💀 Soul Essence provides new survival opportunities
📊 The LIVING HELL HUD tracks what’s happening around you
⚠️ Dynamic events can completely change the situation

Hell is brutal, unpredictable, and designed to remain survivable for players who prepare.

For now. 😈

⚔️ RoosterMobs — RPG Combat Evolved

RoosterMobs has also received major attention.

Custom combat and RPG systems have been modernized and optimized, including improvements to ranged weapons and wands, enemy systems, Champions, progression mechanics, and the underlying systems keeping everything running smoothly.

Nightmare remains the place for players looking for a much deeper RPG-style challenge.

And importantly, its systems now cooperate properly with our other worlds instead of fighting over things like player HUDs.

Yes.

Even our plugins had PvP enabled for a while.

🪦 RoosterGrave — Your Loot Has a Guardian

Death doesn’t have to mean watching your entire inventory disappear.

Our updated RoosterGrave system protects your belongings when you die, complete with your own magical Rooster sentinel.

🐔 Protected graves
🎒 Item recovery
✨ 90% XP recovery
🗺️ /grave management
⏳ Generous recovery time
🧹 Improved server-side cleanup

Die.

Find the chicken.

Get your stuff.

Get revenge.

🌎 ONE SERVER. MANY WORLDS.

RoosterMC isn’t built around forcing everyone into one style of Minecraft.

Choose your adventure.

🌲 Normal — Classic RoosterMC survival and progression

🌼 Peaceful — Relaxed survival focused on building, farming and exploration

💀 Nightmare — RoosterMobs RPG combat, custom weapons, elites, mastery and progression

🔥 Hell — Brutal living survival where even the environment fights back

🎨 Creative — Build, experiment and create without survival limitations

🌾 Rooster Ranch — Our upcoming personal floating farming experience

Different worlds.

Different challenges.

One community.

📱 JAVA + BEDROCK — TOGETHER

One thing we absolutely wanted to preserve through all of these upgrades was cross-platform play.

RoosterMC continues to support Java and Bedrock players together on the same server.

We’ve specifically been testing and fixing systems on both clients—not simply assuming something that works on Java will magically behave on Bedrock.

Scoreboards, custom systems, world mechanics and plugins have all received cross-platform attention.

Whether you’re sitting at a gaming PC or joining from a Bedrock device:

You belong on the same Roost.

🚀 PERFORMANCE MATTERS

A lot of the biggest improvements aren’t things you’ll see in a screenshot.

We’ve been reviewing our custom plugins specifically for modern Paper performance.

That means reducing unnecessary background work, fixing outdated implementations, controlling entity overhead, improving task scheduling, eliminating plugin conflicts, and making sure our custom systems aren’t quietly destroying server or client performance.

More features shouldn’t automatically mean more lag.

That’s something we’re taking seriously as RoosterMC grows.

🛡️ STILL NO PAY-TO-WIN

Some things aren’t changing.

RoosterMC remains focused on playing the game, not buying advantages.

No wallet should determine who wins.

Progress comes from exploring, building, fighting, farming, learning the worlds, and occasionally making spectacularly terrible decisions.

We’re also continuing our focus on a family-friendly community where players can actually enjoy being here.

🐓 AND WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED

This update represents a huge amount of work, but more importantly it gives RoosterMC a modern foundation to build on again.

We’re going to let everyone settle in.

Explore the worlds.

Learn the new systems.

Fight the Champions.

Survive Infernal Rain.

Probably die.

Then we’ll see what you make look too easy…

and start working on what comes next.

If you haven’t played in a while:

Come back and see what happened to the Roost.

If you’ve never played before:

There’s never been a better time to join.
