The next major Rooster Ranch update has arrived on RoosterMC!

Version 3.3 β Economy & Living Seasons takes the Ranch beyond simply growing crops and raising animals. Seasons, weather, professions, player production, supply and demand now work together to create a living farming economy.
And now we need players to come break it. π
π¦οΈ A Living Ranch World
Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter aren’t just names on a scoreboard.
Seasonal conditions now influence Ranch life, including:
- Weather patterns
- Rain and thunderstorms
- Droughts
- Crop conditions
- Production
- Commodity supply
- Market prices
- Seasonal demand
The Rooster Farmers Market also shares the Ranch world’s time and weather.
If night falls during a thunderstorm at your Ranch, expect the medieval market to be dark and soaked when you arrive.
π° The Rooster Ranch Economy
Commodity values can now change based on what’s actually happening in the Ranch economy.
Prices are influenced by:
- Player supply
- Market demand
- Seasons
- Weather
- Droughts
- Market events
- Harvest Festivals
- Ranch professions
Flood the market with one commodity and its value can fall.
A shortage during increased demand can send prices climbing.
Finding what to produce, when to sell and when to hold onto something is now part of Ranch gameplay.
πΎ Specialize Your Ranch
Your profession matters.
Crop Farmers, Stockbreeders, Orchardists, Apiarists, Artisans, Provisioners and the other Ranch professions each specialize in different parts of the economy.
You can participate in many Ranch activities, but one Ranch isn’t supposed to be the best at everything.
That creates a reason for Ranchers to trade with each other instead of everyone producing exactly the same things.
πͺ Open Your Own Market Booth
The medieval Rooster Farmers Market is now the center of player commerce.
Ranchers can rent physical 5Γ5 market booths inside the medieval marketplace and sell goods directly to other players.
There is no traditional auction house.
We want the Farmers Market to actually feel like a market.
Visit other Ranchers’ booths, compare prices, find deals and turn your own specialization into a business.
π§ͺ Now We Need Testers
We’ve spent a lot of time testing the systems themselves.
Now comes something much harder to simulate:
Minecraft players with access to an economy. π
During the beta we’ll be watching:
- RoostCoin earned and spent
- Commodity prices
- Oversupplied and scarce goods
- Profession balance
- Ranch progression speed
- NPC vendor pricing
- Player booth activity
- Seasonal effects
- Weather and droughts
- Any creative new method of accidentally becoming a RoostCoin billionaire
Prices, rewards and other economic values WILL change during the beta as we collect real gameplay data.
If something feels too expensive, ridiculously cheap, unrewarding, overpoweredβor you’ve discovered an infinite-money machineβtell us!
