Minecraft Version Compatibility
RoosterMC uses ViaVersion-family compatibility technology so several Java client protocol versions can connect to the same server.
What This Means
You may be able to connect using a Java client that is not exactly the same protocol version as the server.
Recommended Experience
Use the current RoosterMC-recommended Minecraft version whenever possible.
Very old clients may be technically able to connect while still lacking newer blocks, items, UI behavior, or mechanics required by modern RoosterMC systems.
Protocol compatibility is not a promise that every historical Minecraft client will display every custom feature perfectly.
