Getting Started
Start here: join RoosterMC, choose a world, learn the essential commands, and know where to get help.
Welcome to RoosterMC
RoosterMC is a custom Java + Bedrock Minecraft server built around multiple worlds, custom plugins, and different ways to play.
If you are new to the server, begin in Normal. It is the easiest place to learn the server before attempting Nightmare or Hell.
Join the Server
Use:
play.roostermc.com
Java and Bedrock players use the same address. On the current RoosterMC setup, Bedrock players do not need to manually enter a port.
Your First Few Minutes
1. You begin in the Hub.
2. Look for the named world-selector NPCs.
3. Choose the experience you want to play.
4. If you want classic survival, choose Normal.
5. If the area around other players feels crowded, use /reloc in an eligible survival world to look for somewhere farther out.
6. Once you find a good location, use /sethome base.
7. If you die in an eligible world, use /grave.
8. Use this Wiki whenever a custom mechanic is unfamiliar.
RoosterMC Worlds
- Normal — standard survival and the recommended starting point.
- Peaceful — relaxed survival, farming, building, hugs, and animal interactions.
- Nightmare — difficult RPG gameplay powered by RoosterMobs.
- Hell — extreme living survival where corruption and world events actively threaten players.
- Creative — creative-mode building and experimentation.
- Ranch — COMING SOON; a private floating farming progression experience still under development.
Things You Should Know
- RoosterMC is family friendly.
- RoosterMC is not pay-to-win.
- Respect other players and their builds.
- Some worlds use separate inventories. If your inventory changes after world travel, your items may still be safe in the inventory group you left.
- Some people visible in TAB/server population may be RoosterBots, RoosterMC's disclosed synthetic residents.
- Custom mechanics can behave very differently from vanilla Minecraft.
- If INFERNAL RAIN appears while you are in Hell, find solid overhead cover immediately.
When Staff Are Offline
This Wiki is intended to answer the questions that would otherwise require staff to be online. If you still need help, use the RoosterMC Discord or the support/report channels provided by the server.
